Long Term Care

November is National Long Term Care Awareness Month. What’s your plan?

Did you know that 70% of men and women over the age of 65 will need some kind of long term care?1 With Americans living longer, there’s a good chance that many of us may not be able to manage on our own.

Nearly 80% of adults rely solely on long term care services provided by unpaid family and friends.2 This includes everything from assistance with bathing, dressing, and other daily activities to longer-range planning and decision-making. It’s not surprising given that over two-thirds of Americans recently polled have done little to no planning for their own care needs.3

Long Term Care Awareness Month is a time to come together to support both those giving and receiving care. It’s also a time to consider Long Term Care insurance. With many plan options now available at a variety of price points, it’s worth exploring how we can prepare for our own futures so we don’t become a burden to the people we love the most.

So, what’s your plan? To help you get started, we invite you to learn more about Long Term Care insurance, including care options, costs, key features and benefits.
